Olympiacos today – Monday, March 10 – celebrates 100 years of glorious history, with the Piraeus club’s leader, Evangelos Marinakis, sending his own poignant message on the birthday of the storied port city’s team.
“100 years full of games, victories and trophies in Greece and Europe; fairytale-like triumphs,” the Olympiacos FC owner underlined in his message, while adding: “Victories and trophies make us even stronger; difficulties and adversity make us invincible. We raise the red-and- white jerseys and celebrate our great love together! Happy Birthday Legend!”
Evangelos Marinakis’ message:
“It has been a century since the laurel-crowned youth took his first breath. 100 years full of games, victories and trophies in Greece and Europe; fairytale-like triumphs. The team and its heroes became a symbol of the working class and life’s winners – a symbol that became a LEGEND.
“The biggest social group in the country, Olympiacos’ unyielding people, celebrate the birthday of the OLYMPIACOS ASSOCIATION OF PIRAEUS SPORTSMEN (OSFP), and together we dream of the century to come.
