Golf Greece has announced the inaugural Golf Greece Junior Open, a nationwide junior golf tournament that will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Glyfada Golf Course in Athens.
The event is open to athletes under the age of 18 who hold a valid athlete’s health card and are members of a golf club or golf academy in Greece. The tournament will feature four competition formats, designed to support all stages of junior golf development.
Competition Formats
Competition Zone: 18-hole category (Gross & Net)
Development Zone: 9-hole competition (Stableford, tees)
Progress Zone: 6-hole competition (Stableford, forward markers)
Future Zone: 3-hole introductory competition
Tee times will begin in the afternoon, followed by a dinner and awards ceremony at Colonial. The event will celebrate the young athletes and include special gifts and surprises for participants.
The tournament is organised by Golf Greece and sanctioned by the Glyfada Golf Club of Athens. It is supported by contributors, golf professionals and athletes committed to advancing junior golf in Greece.
In addition to tournament play, the event programme will include tournament coverage and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Participation entries must be submitted through golf clubs or academies by June 21. Applications should include the player’s name, competition category and an athlete’s health card valid as of July 5, 2026.
