Thessaloniki Bombing

The 36-year-old man was remanded in custody in connection with the May 3 bomb blast in a bank in central Thessaloniki that killed a 38-year-old woman

Based on current evidence, police believe the 38-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man — in whose name the apartment linked to the case was rented — were manipulated into playing minor roles.

Efforts are underway to locate the individual who actually constructed the explosive, as investigators have ruled out the possibility that the deceased woman had the technical expertise to do so.
