Total arrivals and overnight stays in Greek hotels and other short-term rental accommodations reached 792,580 for February 2025, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
Overnight stays also posted encouraging figures, climbing to 1,736,159 — marking year-on-year increases of 2.5% and 3.5%, respectively, compared to February 2024.
Foreign visitors accounted for much of the growth, with arrivals rising by 3.8% and overnight stays by 4.9%. Domestic tourism also recorded gains, with arrivals up by 1.8% and overnight stays by 2.5%. Greek travelers continued to form the majority, representing 64.5% of total arrivals and 59.9% of overnight stays.
The average length of stay stood at 2.2 nights overall, with foreign visitors staying slightly longer than domestic ones — 2.5 nights compared to 2.0.
This rise in tourism activity during the winter month of February reflects the gradual expansion of the tourist season and highlights the growing popularity of alternative accommodation options. Notably, rented rooms recorded significant increases of 7.5% in arrivals and 5.5% in overnight stays.
