With the results of the “Tourism for All 2026-2027” lottery now posted, Phase A of the program has been completed, opening the door to Phase B for those who weren’t selected.
31,702 people were selected for the low season, while 19,528 were selected for the high season.
The Phase A Lottery
Beneficiaries who were selected don’t need to take any action at this stage, since the process moves forward automatically.
Once the relevant file is sent to the banks chosen by beneficiaries, those banks are expected to issue the digital, cardless benefit cards within two days.
The bank each beneficiary selected will then send a message with the instructions needed to activate the card. At the same time, a message will be sent to the email address provided during the application, containing a link to create a password.
Activation is simple: once the password is created, the card is activated and ready to use.
Subsidy Amounts
Selected Phase A beneficiaries:
- €200 per beneficiary during the high tourist season (from the digital debit cards’ activation date through September 30, 2026, and from May 1 through June 30, 2027) or €300 during the low tourist season (October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027).
- €300 during the high tourist season (from the digital cards’ activation date through September 30, 2026, and from May 1 through June 30, 2027) or €400 during the low tourist season (October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027) for individuals who are: single or widowed with dependent children, based on their most recently finalized 2024 tax-year Personal Income Tax Return at the time of application; or married or in a civil partnership with three or more dependent children, based on their most recently finalized 2024 tax-year joint or separate Personal Income Tax Return at the time of application. Note that citing this number of children to qualify for the increased subsidy can only be done once. Also included are pensioners from all pension funds with a final old-age pension decision issued by December 31, 2025, who meet the conditions set out in the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision and Call for Applications.
- €400 during the high tourist season (from the digital debit cards’ activation date through September 30, 2026, and from May 1 through June 30, 2027) or €600 during the low tourist season (October 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027) for people with disabilities of 67% or higher, and for beneficiaries with children with disabilities of 67% or higher, based on a valid decision in effect at the time of application.
- Selected beneficiaries in all categories with four or more dependent children receive an additional subsidy of fifty (50.00) euros per child from the fourth child onward.
Phase B
Applicants who were not selected in the lottery will have the opportunity to take part in the program’s second phase, remaining potential beneficiaries.
The final beneficiary lists for Phase B will be drawn up based on the available budget for 2027, taken from the lists of non-selected Phase A applicants in lottery order, and for the period each applicant indicated on their application. The start date for Phase B will be announced on the program’s website. Subsidy amounts per period remain the same for both Phase A and Phase B.
The Ministry of Tourism has already begun the process of funding Phase B of the program, for which an additional budget has been allocated, with the new year’s start.
