Aegean Airlines, the biggest airlines operating to and from Greece, on Monday announced that it is proceeding with additional flight cancellations towards various destinations in the Middle East, such as Israel, Iraq, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, all due to the rapid developments in the wider region.
In its announcement regarding the flight cancellations, the airline said the following flights have been cancelled:
- To and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi until the afternoon of March 6, 2026.
- To and from Jeddah and Riyadh until the early morning hours of March 7, 2026.
- To and from Tel Aviv until the early morning hours of March 10, 2026.
- To and from Beirut until the early morning hours of March 10, 2026.
- To Erbil and Baghdad until the early morning hours of March 10, 2026.
As Aegean said, passengers holding tickets for the cancelled flights will receive a message either from the airline or from the respective travel agencies through which they purchased their tickets. They will be informed that they are entitled to a refund or a credit voucher for future use, as well as a change of travel date at no additional cost.
Furthermore, Aegean added, in order to facilitate passengers holding tickets to and from Tel Aviv, Erbil, Baghdad, Beirut, Abu Dhabi, Dubai as well as Riyadh and Jeddah, for flights scheduled to depart up to and including March 16, 2026, it offers—if they so wish—the option to modify their flights.
This includes either free ticket reissuance and date changes without additional charges for new travel dates up to and including March 31, 2026, or cancellation of the booking and issuance of a credit voucher for future use.
