Two Iranian ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted by Greek Patriot air defense systems deployed in Saudi Arabia.

The news was announced by Greece’s Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias. According to ministry sources, the air defense systems were activated immediately, and two missiles were launched to intercept the incoming targets. The operation was completed successfully, with no reported damage or injuries.

Earlier on Thursday morning, the Greek Force in Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA), operating as part of the international “Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept” mission supporting the Kingdom’s air defense, engaged the ballistic threats. Both targets were neutralized in accordance with established Rules of Engagement.

“The force continues its mission as normal,” the ministry sources confirmed.
