Athens will host the free Latin American and Caribbean festival named Athina Latina on May 9th 2026, with a daylong celebration of music, food, and cultural exchange. The outdoor event on Klathmonos Square offers an open-air experience that organizers describe as a “massive, one-day cultural blowout.”
Part of the broader This is Athens City Festival, Athina Latina brings together embassies, artists, and expatriate communities to showcase the diversity of Latin American and Caribbean traditions in the heart of the Greek capital.
The festival will feature live music, DJ sets, and dance performances, alongside authentic cuisine and traditional Latin American & Caribbean products. Organizers say the goal is to create an inclusive, family-friendly environment where visitors can experience the energy and flavors of multiple cultures in one place.
