The Athens Street Food Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this May, transforming the city with flavors from all around the world, live entertainment and dozens of pop-up food stands.
Held at the Old OSY Depot in the Gazi district, the festival takes place across three weekends — May 8-10, May 15-17 and May 22-24 — continuing a tradition that has become one of the city’s most anticipated annual food events.
Organizers say this year’s edition will celebrate a decade that helped reshape Athens’ food scene, introducing international street food trends and global flavors to local audiences since the festival first launched in 2016.
Established and emerging chefs present original street food creations inspired by cuisines from Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Nigeria, Egypt, Spain, Italy, the United States, Greece and others. Vegan options will also be available.
The festival has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors over the past decade, with attendees gathering each year to sample dishes available exclusively during the event.
Radio producers will provide music throughout the day, while major DJ parties will begin nightly at 9 p.m., creating a large-scale festival atmosphere.
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this year’s Athens Food Festival on its last operating weekend, May 22nd to May 24th.
