On Wednesday, May 20th Athens celebrates the musical legacy of David Bowie with a live tribute concert in the heart of the city.

The Heroes Tribute Band, the first Greek multi-vocalist group dedicated to Bowie’s work, will perform as part of the This is Athens City Festival 2026. The ensemble has spent years developing a stage production inspired by Bowie’s constant reinvention and enduring cultural influence.

The concert will take place in Eleftherias Park (a short walk from Megaro Mousikis metro station) with a setlist that spans some of Bowie’s most celebrated creative periods. From the glam-rock spectacle of Ziggy Stardust to the “Berlin Trilogy” and the cosmopolitan style of the 1980s.

Dedicated Bowie fans but also wider audiences are invited to connect with the discography that reshaped artistic expression across generations.
