Wine Exhibition, at Technopolis City of Athens

Whether you are a winemaker or a wine enthusiast, this Sunday, February 11 Technopolis City of Athens is hosting the 5th wine exhibition titled “Small Winemakers 2024”, organized by the Association of Artisanal Wineries of Greece (AWG). Visitors will have the chance to taste wines produced in small wineries from all over Greece and learn about the importance of raw materials and their quality in viticulture. Workshops and activities will highlight the influence of the land and the personality of the people who live near it on a wine’s identity. The exhibition runs until Monday, February 12 from 11 am to 7 pm.

A day in Elefsina dedicated to visual arts!

As part of the 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture’s cultural events, this Sunday, February 11, from 1 pm to 8 pm, the public will have the last opportunity to visit four visual art exhibitions in Elefsina. The renowned Greek and international artists, and creators of the projects will be present to discuss their work with the public highlighting Elefsina as a hub of reflection meeting and open dialogue. The exhibitions on show include: “Mystery 111 Eleusis Terracotta Army” by Juan Esteban Sandoval, “Mystery 151 A Rave Down Below” curated by Panos Giannikopoulos, “Mystery 87 I My Sea Journey, I My Land Claim” by Stefania Strouza and “Mystery 8 Eyes on Japan” by Antonis Theodoridis. ¡Viva España! at Olympia City Music Theatre ‘Maria Callas’

With the support of the Embassy of Spain in Athens and the Cervantes Institute of Athens, the Athens Symphony Orchestra presents a panorama of Spanish sounds and images at the Olympia City Music Theatre “Maria Callas” this Saturday. Led by the distinguished conductor Andreas Tselikas, a longstanding folkloric tradition takes the stage on February 10 at 8:30 pm, featuring rhythms of popular works such as “El Amor Brujo” and “Capriccio Espagnol”. Zarzuela, Spain’s unique genre of musical theatre, is also part of the performance, featuring Pablo Galvez’s outstanding voice, one of the most talented baritones.

Curtis Lundy Quarter feat. Craig Handy, at Half Note Jazz Club

Bassist, composer, and orchestrator Curtis Lundy performs at the Half Note Jazz Club for four nights from Friday, February 9, to this Monday, February 12. Emerging from the golden years of the straight ahead and hard bop school, he is undoubtedly one of the most iconic and sought-after musicians on the contemporary jazz scene. Nominated for a Grammy and globally renowned for his solid yet highly lyrical playing, Lundy is an authentic master of the acoustic bass and the American songbook.
