Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is on an official visit to India , was officially welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Presidential Palace of India in New Delhi today.

His meeting with PM Narendra Modi marks the second encounter within a span of six months, as the prime minister of India had visited Athens in August, in the first visit by an Indian leader to Greece in 40 years.

The Greek PM is heading a business delegation, with the goal of ensuring that the upcoming second Greece-India Summit marks the commencement of the implementation phase for the strategic partnership between the two nations. The visit aims to strengthen business ties and highlight Greece’s vital role in India’s ambitions to expand its reach into European and Western markets.

The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a meeting with PM Modi at noon, followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two countries. Subsequently, the two leaders will make statements to the press.Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet with the Vice President of the Republic of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar at 14:40.

At 18:00, the Prime Minister will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural session of the annual “Raisina Dialogue” conference on geopolitics and geo-economics, where he will address the Indian business community in Mumbai at an event themed “Future Prospects of Greece-India Economic Cooperation.”
