Greece’s Food Safety Authority (EFET), through its Regional Directorate of Attica, has been notified via the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) of the circulation on the Greek market of raisins originating from Argentina in which the presence of ochratoxin A was detected at levels exceeding the maximum legally permitted limits.

The product concerned is sold under the name “Bio Farma Organic Golden Raisins” in 200-gram packaging and is distributed by the company NTIMFIL S.A. Following notification by EFET, the company decided to recall all batches of the product, while the relevant inspections are currently under way.

In its announcement, EFET urged consumers who have purchased the product not to consume it. For further information regarding the return or replacement of the product, consumers are advised to contact NTIMFIL S.A.
