A 37-year-old woman was arrested for photographing the Souda Naval Base in Crete, the latest in a series of espionage cases at Greek military sites.

A new espionage arrest at the military installations in Souda, Crete, has once again drawn the attention of Greek authorities. The incident took place on Sunday, October 4, and adds to a string of similar cases involving foreign nationals caught gathering information on military bases across the country.

According to reports, a 37-year-old woman was arrested in the act of photographing the military facilities at the Souda Naval Base. Police officers rushed to the scene and took her into custody on espionage charges.

During a search, authorities seized three cameras with tripod mounts, along with lenses and six rolls of film, Zarpanews reported.
