Gale-force winds sweeping across the Aegean have prompted authorities to impose a sailing ban from the ports of Rafina and Lavrio. The only exception is ferry service to Marmari.

Ferries from the Port of Piraeus, by contrast, are operating normally, with the exception of the Blue Star Paros. The vessel had been scheduled to sail for Syros, Tinos and Mykonos, leaving passengers stranded in Piraeus.

Other ferry services are operating under a “travel plan.” This means the order in which a vessel calls at different ports may change, while in some cases a ferry may skip an island altogether.

Ferry services to the Saronic Gulf islands are operating without disruption.
