High school students in Greece and Cyprus are invited to participate in the 2nd Panhellenic and Pan-Cypriot School Newspaper and Journalism Competition organized by TO BHMA, an initiative that invites students to express their ideas, concerns, and dreams through journalism.
High school students from Greece and Cyprus are invited to participate in this educational and creative endeavor, organized by TO BHMA under the auspices of the Ministries of Education of Greece and Cyprus.

The student newspapers of schools from Rethymno (Crete), Arta, Florina, and Drama are featured in TO BHMA on Sunday.
With guidance from their teachers, participating students will create and design a school newspaper that includes original content, and which once submitted will be evaluated by a distinguished committee of academics and journalists.
The contest aims to promote student creativity, journalistic dialogue, and youth participation in public discourse, while strengthening young people’s relationship with reading, knowledge, and the democratic expression of ideas.
Winning newspapers will be selected by a jury consisting of the rectors of five universities in Greece and Cyprus, the Director of the Center for Byzantine, Modern Greek and Cypriot Studies of the University of Granada, the presidents of the IEP and the National Examinations Organization of Greece, academics, reputable academics and representatives from TO BHMA.

The competition unfolds in three phases:
-Phase A: Schools should declare participation via the official online form until November 23, 2025 (23:59).
–Phase B: Submission of entries opens. After submissions end, the jury will evaluate all entries.
–Phase C: A shortlist of selected school newspapers will be published on the official competition website.
Beyond the competition, the initiative seeks to inspire a new generation of thoughtful, informed, and articulate young citizens by offering them a genuine platform for creative expression and public dialogue.
