Schools across Greece are marking the end of the academic year on Monday, June 15, as kindergartens and primary schools officially close for the summer break, while older students complete their final exams.

According to the schedule set by the Greek Ministry of Education, the school year concludes today for kindergartens and primary schools. For middle schools, Monday is the final day of graduation exams, with results expected to be issued by Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Final national exams for vocational school students

The same day also marks the completion of the national university entrance exams for students from Greece’s vocational high schools (EPAL).

Candidates will sit their final specialty subjects, including courses related to refrigeration and air conditioning systems, aircraft engines, and central heating system design.

Special exams begin for physical education programs

Monday also marks the start of health examinations and practical tests for students seeking admission to university departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA).

Candidates from both general and vocational high schools will be able to take part in the required medical checks and practical trials until Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Meanwhile, special subject exams will begin on Tuesday, June 16, and continue until June 25. The process will open with the English language examination.
