According to the man’s account to police, the incident took place just before 3 a.m. on Gravias Street, where four unknown individuals approached him and attempted to force him into a car by force.
He resisted, and as the attackers were leaving the scene, one of them allegedly shot him in the shoulder.
The victim then made his own way to Tzaneio Hospital, where doctors determined he had suffered a through-and-through gunshot wound to the shoulder.
He was subsequently transferred to Attikon Hospital, where he remains hospitalized but is out of danger.
The Southeast Attica Security Division has taken over the preliminary investigation into the case.
