A 10-year-old boy was urgently transported from the Greek island of Alonnisos to a hospital in Volos after being bitten by a snake, prompting an immediate response from the authorities.
The boy was bitten during the early morning hours and was taken to the Volos Hospital, known as Achillopouleio, to receive the necessary medical care.
Emergency sea transfer
The Hellenic Coast Guard organized an emergency transfer after it was determined that the child needed to reach the hospital as quickly as possible.
The 10-year-old was transported from the port of Alonnisos to Volos aboard the passenger-tourist vessel.
The transfer was deemed urgent so the boy could be examined by doctors and receive the appropriate treatment without delay.
