Residents in the central Greek city of Larissa are expressing growing concern after repeated reports of groups of minors throwing objects at passing cars and pedestrians during the evening hours.
According to local complaints, the incidents have been taking place near Volou Street, where groups of teenagers have allegedly been gathering late at night and causing disturbances in the area.
One resident told local media that around 20 minors, both boys and girls, gathered near a pedestrian crossing last Friday evening. Some were reportedly dressed in black, while others were riding electric scooters. Witnesses described scenes of shouting, swearing and general disorder that alarmed nearby residents.
The same witness claimed the group threw water balloons, water bottles and stones at passing vehicles. In another alleged incident discussed among the teenagers themselves, an old flower pot was reportedly dropped onto a moving car days earlier.
According to the testimony, one of the younger children was wearing a mask, and many of the group fled when a vehicle stopped nearby. Police were called to the scene, but the minors had already left before officers arrived.
The complaint was accompanied by video footage that reportedly shows a teenager throwing water balloons at a passing car.
Residents commenting on social media also described similar incidents in other parts of Larissa. One person said stones had repeatedly been thrown at them while riding a scooter at night, while another reported children throwing water balloons and bottles from a rooftop at pedestrians, students and women pushing strollers.
