An ongoing crackdown in the Greek capital aims to keep all but buses and emergency vehicles from using the all-important bus lanes on traffic-clogged roadways

Specifically, vehicle circulation is being gradually suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the municipalities of Egaleo and Haidari, and until 11:00 a.m. within the City of Athens.

Road closures around the Greek Parliament in Athens will be in effect on Thursday morning, and several metro stations will be closed, due to the swearing-in ceremony of the new President of Greece.

Several roads will be closed in downtown Athens, while parking and stopping is prohibited around the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Drivers are advised to avoid central Athens as roads will be closed off starting in the afternoon for the Grigoropoulos marches.
