The Greek government is pushing to clear out squatters from the long-abandoned refugee settlements (prosfygika) complex and convert it into social housing, after an attack on a regional official's home

Attica Region authorities say maintenance of Kifissos River is part of a flood prevention plan for the wider Athens area.

"The projects and actions funded by ERDF make a daily impact on Attica and its citizens. These are projects for the people, delivered to them," said Hardalias.

Hardalias, stressing the importance of mental health and addressing dependencies, affirmed, "We are committed to providing vital support and resources to meet these needs, aiming for a healthier and more empowered social environment for all citizens of the region."
