Tennis great Novak Djokovic returned to Greece over the weekend, following his elimination at the recent US Open, and appeared in several locations around southeast coastal Athens, with reports pointing to his family permanent or semi-permanent residence in the country.
The holder of the most Grand Slams in the sport’s history has arrived earlier in the summer to Athens along with his family for what media reports called “house-hunting” and possible schools for his two young children.
The Djokovic couple has reportedly purchased a residence in the upscale Glyfada seaside district, with a private primary school in the southern suburbs also selected for their children, Stefan and Tara.
On Tuesday morning, Djokovic was spotted training at a tennis court at the Kavouri resort along with his son. The pair were later spotted at shopping at several area stores. On several occasions “Nole” was scene posing with fans and signing autographs.
