What to Expect at Peiraios 260
This summer, Peiraios 260 takes center stage as a hub for bold, genre-defying performances—many of which spotlight women artists, trailblazing creators, and international collaborations.
The venue opened its season with the much-anticipated Here Dwell the Dragons by France’s legendary Théâtre du Soleil, directed by Ariane Mnouchkine.
Coming in July, Carolina Bianchi, the acclaimed Brazilian playwright and performer, presents The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella, a fierce and provocative work that stirred critical acclaim at the 2023 Avignon Festival.
Local voices also shine:
- Patricia Apergi explores female identity across time in her dance piece Hystory (July 21–24).
- Alexandra Waierstall, a Cypriot-born choreographer, unveils Heart Moment, a lyrical work grounded in movement and emotional connectivity, created in collaboration with an international ensemble.
In addition to theater and dance, the venue will feature visual art installations, video works, and performances from GRAPE, the innovative Greek Performing Arts platform designed to connect local creators with international festival curators.
Late-Night Music at “Live at the Platea”
Following the main performances, the “Live at the Platea” music series kicks off at 11:00 PM each night. This free program features an eclectic mix of musical acts, transforming the venue’s open square into a lively, communal space to end the evening.
