The City of Athens is ringing in May Day with a vibrant outdoor celebration at the historic Plato’s Academy Park, at its best during springtime, marking the opening of its month-long City Festival organized by the Athens Development Agency.

Located at the heart of the city the park awaits visitors to join in this year’s festivities which kick off with a family-friendly picnic on May 1 and a wide array of free activities designed to bring people of all ages together in nature.

Running through June 1, the festival’s first day promises a lively blend of play, art, and environmental education.
