Twenty-eight awards were handed out with customary pomp and glamour at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, where nearly all of Hollywood turned out to officially launch the awards season for film and television.

Films that dominated conversation throughout the year—most notably One Battle After Another and Hamnet—emerged as major winners in the cinematic categories, while Netflix reaffirmed its television clout with Adolescence.
