The Gangtet, a modern jazz quartet based in Thessaloniki, will perform at the Porto Valitsa Festival in Chalkidiki on August 9, presenting an evening of original contemporary jazz at the Porto Valitsa Amphitheater in Paliouri.
Known for its fresh approach to modern jazz, the quartet has spent the past three years performing regularly at jazz venues in Thessaloniki, Athens, and Bulgaria. The group focuses on original compositions and continues to expand its repertoire following the release of its debut studio album, MANIFESTO, while preparing to record future projects.
The band says it will bring its signature sound to the open-air amphitheater, where the combination of live music, the coastal setting, and the venue’s natural surroundings is expected to create an immersive concert experience.
The Gangtet features Giannis Antonoglou on flute, Andreas Papakonstantinou on electric guitar, Nikolas Gersos on bass, and Giannis Papageorgiou on drums.
