The Maria Callas Museum in Athens is resuming its guided tours, offering visitors an opportunity to delve deeper into the life and career of one of the most influential opera singers of all time.
Through texts, personal objects, video and rare audio recordings, the museum traces Maria Callas’ journey from her beginnings and years in Greece to her international career and celebrated opera roles. The experience also explores her public life, personality, relationships and the legacy she left behind.
Guided tours are available as part of the museum’s program, with visitors encouraged to check the schedule and reserve a place in advance. Children under 6, people with disabilities and one accompanying person, ICOM members and tour guides can enter free of charge with the required documentation.

The museum is also offering a 1+1 promotion every Friday through September 25, 2026. Visitors who purchase an eligible electronic ticket receive a second ticket free of charge. The offer applies to general admission and the two reduced-ticket categories.

Museum hours
From April 1 through October 31, the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Fridays.
From November 1 through March 31, it operates Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., remaining open until 8 p.m. on Fridays. The museum is closed on Mondays and on certain holidays.
Free admission is also offered on December 2, Maria Callas’ birthday.
