Μake us preferred on Google The 11th Rhodes Jazz Festival will bring 21 artists from Athens, Lisbon, London, Madrid and Rotterdam to the stage in Rhodes, with concerts set to take place at the historic Church of Our Lady of the Burg in the island’s Medieval City. It will take place from September 18-21, brightening up the island’s cultural program with a broad range of jazz styles and musical influences.

Audiences will hear experimental and modal jazz alongside melodies inspired by the 1960s, as well as sounds rooted in the Balkans and the traditional music of Greece and the Eastern Mediterranean. The program will also include original compositions and premieres of new recordings.
The festival’s accompanying events began on September 13 with a photography exhibition by Thrasos Eirini, which served as the opening event of this year’s festival. The exhibition will run through September 20 at the English Hospice in Rhodes’ Medieval City.

The festival will also continue its support for local artistic creation through its annual poster artwork initiative. Each year, organizers select a work by an artist with a particular connection to Rhodes. This year’s poster features a work by Damon Papakyriakou.
The Rhodes Jazz Festival is organized by Arte Con Anima and takes place under the auspices and with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, as well as under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organization. It is co-organized with the South Aegean Region and the Municipality of Rhodes, with support from the Ephorate of Antiquities of the Dodecanese.
