Μake us preferred on Google An expanded seven-item agenda is expected to dominate Monday’s first Cabinet meeting following the summer holidays. Greek minister will convene at 11:30 a.m. at the Maximos Mansion under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The meeting will focus on a review of the completion of Greece 2.0, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which will be presented by Minister of State Akis Skertsos and Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis.
Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Sofia Zacharaki will present preparations and upcoming innovations ahead of the start of the new school and academic year.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the economy and issues affecting everyday life, as Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos is expected to brief the Cabinet on the results of the implementation of the National Social Agreement, aimed at reducing prices.
In addition, Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, together with Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis, will present the framework for the Regional Development Plan “Perifereia 2030” focusing on territorial cohesion, the Government Committee on Island Policy and the establishment of the Special Secretariat for Mountainous Areas.
Finally, the Cabinet will examine the new Special Spatial Planning Frameworks, with Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou and Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni presenting the regulations concerning tourism. Papastavrou, in cooperation with Deputy Ministers Nikos Tsafos and Maria-Eleni Soukouli-Viliali, will also present the spatial planning framework for Renewable Energy Sources. The meeting will conclude with Papathanasis presenting a bill on the management and strengthening of development programs.
