Ruling New Democracy (ND) party remains the frontrunner in voting intention, but well short of the level required for a parliamentary majority, while the new ELAS party of Alexis Tsipras and PASOK are separated by 2.6 percentage points, according to a Metron Analysis poll for Mega TV.

In voting intention, ND is at 25.1%, up marginally from 25% in the firm’s June survey. ELAS is at 13.1%, down 1 percentage point, while PASOK is at 10.5%, up 0.9 percentage points from June.

The voting-intention figures indicate a nine-party parliament if replicated in an election, with MeRA25 exactly at the 3% electoral threshold. The other parties above the threshold are Greek Solution at 5.7%, the Communist Party (KKE) at 5%, Course of Freedom at 4.9%, Voice of Reason at 4.4% and Hope for Democracy at 3.6%.

Undecided or otherwise unresolved voting intention stands at 10.4%, comprising 8.2% who said they were undecided and 2.2% who did not answer.

In terms of vote estimate, which reallocates the undecided vote, ND stands at 30.2%, compared with 30% in June. ELAS is at 15.8%, down from 17.1%, while PASOK is at 12.6%, up from 11.4%.

Greek Solution is at 6.9%, compared with 5.7% in June, while KKE stands at 6.1% and Course of Freedom at 5.8%. Voice of Reason is at 5.3%, up from 3.8%, while Hope for Democracy has fallen to 4.4% from 7.5%. MeRA25 is at 3.5%.
