A 13-year-old boy was injured after being stabbed outside an elementary school in the New Smyrni district, in a violent incident that has shocked the local community.

According to initial reports, the attack took place outside the 3rd Primary School in the area, where the minor was approached by a group of four individuals. The boy sustained a serious injury to his thigh after being struck with a knife.

He was immediately transported to a children’s hospital in Athens, where he is currently being treated in the orthopedic ward. Medical staff say his condition is stable and he is not in life-threatening danger.

The incident was confirmed by a healthcare union representative, who described it as a deeply disturbing case of youth violence. He noted that the boy suffered a significant wound to his right thigh following the stabbing.
