A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of a 27-year-old mother of three yesterday afternoon near Lamia, central Greece. The incident occurred just after 4:30 p.m. on a service road approaching the city’s main roundabout.

According to local police, the woman’s vehicle collided head-on with a car driven by a 75-year-old man, accompanied by his 45-year-old son, who was en route to work in Anthili. The collision caused severe damage, leaving the young mother trapped in her car.

Firefighters arriving at the scene freed her from the wreckage, and she was transported by ambulance to Lamia Hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was found injured in nearby fields, where his car had veered off the road. His son also sustained a head injury but was reported to be in stable condition. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.
