A new shift in weather patterns is set to impact Greece, with rain and scattered thunderstorms forecast primarily across northern parts of the country, according to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service.

Cloud cover will gradually increase across the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, where local showers and isolated storms are expected. Winds in these areas will turn northerly to northeasterly by the evening, reaching up to 5 Beaufort, while temperatures will range between 6°C and 21°C (43°F to 70°F).

In contrast, most of western and southern Greece will see generally clear skies. Temporary cloud build-up is expected during midday and afternoon hours over mainland areas, with brief showers likely in mountainous parts of Epirus and Thessaly. Isolated thunderstorms in these regions remain possible.

Morning visibility may be limited in western areas. Winds will blow from the west to southwest at 3 to 5 Beaufort, strengthening locally to 6 Beaufort in southern regions. Temperatures will remain largely stable, reaching 20°C to 23°C (68°F to 73°F), and up to 26°C (79°F) in parts of eastern mainland Greece.
