New details have emerged about the events preceding the death of Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis, including an examination he reportedly underwent at the accused doctor’s office in Athens one day before his death.
According to information, the 56-year-old doctor used a device known as Zyto 5.0 to examine Mazonakis before he underwent plasmapheresis at her office the following day.
The examination reportedly involved Mazonakis placing his hand on the device, after which the system produced measurements relating to everything from vitamins and toxins to emotions.
The device uses electrodes placed on the palms and is presented as measuring various biological and emotional indicators, and is often used to select homeopathic preparations or supplements. According to the doctor, the examination analyzed 198 different biomarkers.
The results reportedly provided to Mazonakis included measurements for a range of emotions and conditions, including “hate” at 61.17, “negative fatigue” at -56.94, disappointment at 37.58 and anger at 28.60.
His reported “greed” measurement was -20.42. Practitioners who promote such methods provide interpretations of the results, including possible emotional causes linked to family relationships and personal concerns.
Other reported measurements included impatience, blame, sadness, despair, self-gratification, sleep and responsibility.
According to the reports, the doctor used the results of the examination to overcome Mazonakis’ reservations and persuade him to undergo plasmapheresis the following day.
The reports also said the doctor presented the examination as a simple diagnostic process that could be carried out virtually anywhere.
However, doctors practicing conventional medicine have disputed the validity of such measurements.
Forensic pathologist Dimitris Galenteris told MEGA that such a method has no scientific basis for determining personality traits or emotions.
“Through the galvanic electrical currents of the skin, we cannot conclude whether we are arrogant, selfish, angry, in love or have any other such characteristic of our personality and character,” he said.
According to reports, the doctor deleted the documents of the examination after Mazonakis died at Elpis Hospital following the plasmapheresis procedure.
