The organizers of the Spetses Symposium 2026 have announced that next year’s edition, titled “Stress, Well-Being and Longevity,” will take place on the island of Spetses from July 13 to 17, with the special hospitality of Spetses Hotel.
According to the organizers, well-being is not a luxury but the highest form of self-care. In a world that constantly demands more and in an era defined by relentless speed and information overload, taking time to pause and care for oneself is described as an act of quiet resilience.
The symposium aims to encourage participants to reconnect with themselves and rediscover practices that support a healthy and balanced life. Conceived as an invitation to a holistic “reset,” the event will unfold against the tranquil backdrop of Spetses, where the island’s serene seascapes and distinctive architecture are expected to provide an ideal setting for relaxation and reflection.

Participants will be offered an immersive experience focused on a deeper understanding of well-being and healthy longevity. This year’s program will feature Professor George Chrousos, one of the world’s most distinguished researchers in the field of stress. He will be joined by an expert multidisciplinary team of researchers, physicians, biologists, psychotherapists, nutritionists and yoga practitioners, who will share scientific insights and practical approaches that bridge preventive medicine and everyday life.
Described as an experience dedicated to “the art of living,” the symposium will combine scientific learning with practical wellness activities. Each day is set to begin with morning yoga sessions, experiential workshops and mindfulness practices. Alongside lectures, attendees will have opportunities to engage directly with speakers and fellow participants through meaningful discussions in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The program will also include evenings of live music, fostering both connection and community.
Beyond the dissemination of knowledge, the symposium’s broader objective is to cultivate a community of individuals who share a common interest in achieving a more balanced and fulfilling life.
The organizers have invited participants to join them in Spetses from July 13 to 17, 2026, at Spetses Hotel, to explore how stress can be transformed from an obstacle into a driving force for a longer and higher-quality life.
