A rescue operation in northern Greece saved five wild boar piglets and their mother after the animals became trapped inside a water tank and were unable to escape.
The incident took place last Saturday near the town of Veria, where local wildlife officials and volunteers responded to reports of the stranded animals.
The rescue effort involved a federal game warden and members of a local hunting association, who organized a coordinated operation to safely remove the animals from the reservoir.
Using careful movements and teamwork, rescuers managed to pull both the mother wild boar and her five piglets out of the tank, preventing the risk of drowning or exhaustion.
According to local reports, the operation was completed successfully and none of the animals were injured. After the rescue, the wild boars were released back into their natural habitat.
