A woman was brutally murdered in the center of the city of Larissa, in Thessaly, with her son and nephew already in police custody, being held at the local Police Directorate. The incident occurred on Monday, May 12, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The 52-year-old woman met a tragic end at the hands of her 21-year-old son. It took 14 hours for the horrific crime to be uncovered when neighbors spotted the young man and his cousin moving the victim’s body, wrapped in blankets.

Authorities acted swiftly, arresting both the woman’s son and his cousin. As reported, the 21-year-old allegedly confessed to police that he stabbed his mother following an argument. Neighbors witnessed the suspects carrying the body across the street, approximately 15 meters to the opposite apartment building.

Bloodstains were found on the road where the body was moved, further confirming the neighbors’ accounts. Reportedly, the son’s first words after his arrest were an admission to the crime, stating that he had inflicted multiple stab wounds on his mother during a heated dispute.
