After a grueling season on the court, tennis legend Novak Djokovic has traded his racket for relaxation, soaking up the sun on the cosmopolitan Greek island of Mykonos in recent days.
Just weeks ago, on July 11, all eyes were on the 38-year-old Serbian champion as he faced Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon semifinals. A win would have propelled him to the final, putting him on the brink of making history — tying Roger Federer’s legendary 25 Grand Slam titles on the famed London grass.
But things didn’t go his way. Despite the early exit, Djokovic remains a towering figure in tennis — even if he currently holds the No. 6 spot in the global rankings.
As expected, following such an intense season, the tennis icon clearly needed a breather. Cue the lenses of Mykonos Live TV, which recently caught Djokovic enjoying a well-deserved getaway on the chic Cycladic island, famous for its beaches, luxury, and A-lister appeal.
At the same time, his Greek getaway quietly shut down swirling rumors about a potential permanent move to Greece. For years now, Djokovic has called Monte Carlo home, where he lives with his wife Jelena — his high school sweetheart. Married in 2014, the couple has built a peaceful family life centered around their children.
Greece, however, remains close to Djokovic’s heart. A place of peace and recharge, he’s no stranger to its charms, having visited destinations like Crete, Corfu, and the Peloponnese multiple times. He also maintains warm friendships with several Greek athletes and public figures.
For now, Djokovic is letting the waves and warm breeze of Mykonos do the healing — a brief pause before the next serve in his legendary career.
