Ingredients

  • 6 very ripe bananas
  • 450 g (15.9 oz) sugar-free chocolate
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon rum

Directions

  1. Finely chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water to create a double boiler. Melt the chocolate over medium heat.

  2. Add the almond butter and stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

  3. Set the chocolate mixture aside to cool.

  4. Peel the bananas and blend them in a blender with the rum until smooth.

  5. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled, add the banana puree and stir thoroughly until all the ingredients are completely incorporated.

  6. Transfer the mixture to a small silicone mold or a shallow dish. Freeze overnight.

The next day, remove the frozen mixture from the mold and cut it into bars or pieces.

Recipe Tips

Let the bars sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving. This will soften them slightly and bring out their creamy, velvety texture.
