Unsettled weather is expected across Greece on Friday, February 6, with rain, local thunderstorms, and occasional hail. Light snowfall will occur only over higher-elevation mainland mountains. West to southwest winds will reach up to 6 Beaufort, and African dust concentrations will be relatively elevated at times.
Early in the day, locally heavy rain and thunderstorms will affect the Eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese, but conditions there will improve quickly. Elsewhere in the country, periods of increased cloudiness are expected, with local rain in western Greece.
Rain will gradually intensify, and thunderstorms will develop, spreading eastward by midday. The main areas affected will be the Peloponnese and northern Greece. From the afternoon, strong rain and thunderstorms will once again impact the Eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese.
A higher chance of hail is noted in Corfu, northwestern mainland areas, the Eastern Aegean islands, and the Dodecanese. Snowfall will occur in mainland mountainous areas at relatively high elevations. African dust levels will be elevated at times.

Athens (Attica Region)

A few clouds will increase around midday, bringing light, brief showers. Southeasterly winds at 3–4 Beaufort, at times locally up to 5 Beaufort. Temperatures from 10 to 16°C.

Thessaloniki

A few clouds increasing around midday, with periods of rain. Winds will be light and variable. Temperatures from 7 to 13°C.
Visitors and residents should be prepared for changeable weather, including thunderstorms and possible hail in some areas, as well as reduced air quality at times due to African dust.
