Several regions across Greece remain under significant threat of wildfires today, Monday, June 30, as weather conditions continue to fuel concern among authorities.

According to the Fire Risk Forecast Map issued by the General Secretariat for Civil Protection, a very high fire risk (Category 4) is in effect for the following areas:

• Attica Region (including the island of Kythira or Kythera)
• Central Greece Region (Evia Regional Unit)
• Peloponnese Region (Laconia Regional Unit)
• North Aegean Region (Regional Units of Chios, Samos, and Ikaria)
• South Aegean Region (Cyclades Regional Units)
• Crete Region

Authorities urge residents and visitors in these regions to remain vigilant, avoid outdoor activities that could spark fires, and promptly report any signs of smoke or flames to emergency services.
