A mild earthquake, measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, was recorded at 16:13 local time at the regional unit of Phocis in central Greece, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
The epicenter was located 3 kilometers south of Marathias in the area of Phocis, with a focal depth of 5 kilometers. The tremor was also felt in parts of Aetolia-Acarnania and Achaia.
The tremor comes a day after a 4.1 earthquake was reported off the coast of the island of Kasos, located on the southernmost edge of the Aegean Sea. The focal depth was measured at 6.2 km, with the exact epicenter recorded at 30 km southwest of the island.
