When officers entered the family’s apartment, they discovered the 57-year-old dead beside the firearm authorities say he used both to shoot his wife and to end his own life.

Victim Describes Threats and Jealousy

The woman later told investigators that her husband fired two shots at her, one of which struck her in the leg. She reportedly attributed the attack to intense jealousy.

According to information from relatives and friends cited in the investigation, the woman had been receiving threats from her husband in recent months.

Despite these claims, neighbors said they were shocked by the incident. Residents described the couple as quiet and said they had never previously heard arguments or disturbances coming from the apartment.

Authorities also said there had been no previous reports or complaints of domestic violence involving the couple.

Investigation Continues

Police are now collecting witness statements and examining the circumstances surrounding the incident in an effort to understand the state of mind of the 57-year-old before the shooting and his subsequent suicide.

The 53-year-old woman is no longer in danger and has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for her injuries. Investigators are expected to rely heavily on her testimony.
