The severe weather that has been hitting the country in recent hours caused significant problems in Oropos, where the coastal road was closed at the Markopoulo traffic lights due to flooding on the roadway. Traffic to and from Markopoulo and Agioi Apostoloi is being diverted via Evvoias Street and Panagioti Dima Street.

At around 3:00 p.m., the Civil Protection office of the Municipality of Oropos issued a new announcement informing residents that, due to heavy rainfall, the stream near the “Phaethon” Museum in Malakasa had overflowed, resulting in traffic being halted on the Markopoulo-Malakasa provincial road. The road remains closed for safety reasons until further notice.
