A street in Patras turned into a battlefield in the early hours of Thursday (July 16, 2026), when two groups clashed violently. Two people were injured in the attack and taken to the hospital.

The incident took place in the Prosfygika area, between two groups of Roma. According to reports, the tension started when someone snatched a necklace from a woman’s neck, sparking an immediate reaction from her relatives and friends.

The brawl that followed was intense, forcing the police to step in. Strong police forces rushed to the scene and brought in three people for questioning, with a case file now being built against at least two of those involved.

The two injured were taken to the hospital for first aid. The situation in the area has since calmed down, though authorities are continuing their investigation into what caused the clash.
