A pharmacist accused of running an illegal production and distribution operation for pharmaceutical products and doping substances has been released on bail following his testimony before judicial authorities.

The suspect was allowed to remain free under the conditions of appearing regularly at a police station and paying a €50,000 financial guarantee. The decision was made with the agreement of the investigating judge and prosecutor.

According to the case file, the pharmacist allegedly operated a fully equipped laboratory in the basement of his pharmacy in the northern suburbs of Athens, where he was accused of producing and distributing pharmaceutical formulations and substances linked to doping.

During his testimony, the defendant reportedly denied any wrongdoing, arguing that the production process was completely legal and that he had not committed any criminal offense.

The case also involves eight other defendants, who had previously been released as part of the ongoing investigation.
