Retired individuals and former self-employed professionals who were insured under the former OAEE fund have until Wednesday, May 13 at 11:59 p.m. to submit their applications for the 2026 Social Tourism program.
The program provides 25,000 social tourism vouchers valid for 13 months, starting June 1, 2026.
Applications must be submitted exclusively online at the official gov.gr portal and will require personal Taxisnet login credentials.
Results are expected to be published by the end of the month and will be available at the DYPA website at dypa.gov.gr/koinonikos-toyrismos-ghia-sintaksioukhoys-e-efka-prwin-oaee.
What the Voucher Covers
Each voucher is assigned a unique number per beneficiary and allows the holder to book stays at accommodations registered in DYPA’s official provider directory. Eligible participants can make use of:
- up to 6 nights with a small personal co-payment,
- up to 10 free nights on the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes,
- up to 12 free nights in Northern Evia, Evros and Thessaly (excluding the Sporades).
Increased Subsidies and Free Ferry Tickets for People with Disabilities
Subsidy rates are increased by 20% during the following periods: August, the Christmas period (December 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027), and the Easter period (April 23 to May 9, 2027). For the regions of Northern Evia, Evros and Thessaly, the increased subsidy applies throughout the entire duration of the program.
Ferry tickets are also subsidized, with beneficiaries covering 25% of the cost. People with disabilities receive free ferry tickets.
How Beneficiaries Are Selected
Selection is based on a scoring system that takes into account social and financial criteria, including disability status, single-parent household status, number of children, income level, and whether the applicant has not previously participated in or been selected for the program.
For the first time, large families are exempt from the scoring process and are automatically enrolled in the program provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
It is noted that individuals already receiving a subsidy from another social tourism program for the same period are not eligible to participate.
