The widely read German travel platform Reisereporter, followed by millions of industry professionals and travelers, ranks Samos among Greece’s “hidden treasures.” The site notes that the island stands out as one of the rare international destinations where visitors can still enjoy genuine travel experiences, largely untouched by the pressures of overtourism.
Particular emphasis is placed on Potami, near Karlovasi, described as a landscape of striking natural beauty that offers visitors a distinctive sense of exploration and adventure.
