The son of well-known Greek actors Myrto Alikaki and Petros Lagoutis drew attention with his choice of outfit. Rather than a classic suit, he wore a design by Greek label Deux Hommes, a look that bridged formal menswear and contemporary fashion.
The 19-minute film, a Greek, French and Dutch co-production, competed in the festival’s Orizzonti Corti section for short films.

It follows Giorgos, an 18-year-old preparing to leave his village in Crete to begin compulsory military service. Shortly before his departure, an unexpected encounter with a young man stirs a desire that challenges everything he had believed about himself and his future.
Set against a Cretan summer, the story explores desire, identity and freedom, as well as the tension between a younger generation and the social expectations and traditions it inherits.
Lagoutis’ appearance at Venice stood out for its departure from the conventions of men’s red carpet dressing, offering a different take on formalwear. His presence at the festival also marked another step in his emerging film career.
By pairing a Greek fashion label with one of the world’s leading film festivals, and by appearing in a film that tackles contemporary and sensitive themes, the young actor gave his Venice debut a distinctly personal signature.
